Dust cap for Stahlbus oil drain valve with retainer

This cap is screwed onto the Stahlbus oil drain valve and protects the valve from external contamination. It still serves as a second safeguard against oil spills and is secured by an O-ring on the valve to lose.

The cap is equipped with our patented retainer device to prevent unintentional loss. This consists of a chain and a spring clip (made of stainless steel) attached to the valve. The spring clip can be retrofitted over the valve so that insertion with a socket wrench and torque wrench is made possible.

The dust cap with retainer is only useful for the next generation of oil drain valves, since these have a groove in the wrench surface into which the spring clip engages.
